This was a business trip during the pandemic at the end of 2020. Before the pandemic, I’d travel to Taiwan on average 3 - 4 times per year for work, but this was the only international trip I took the whole year. Despite the 2-week hotel quarantine and the additional hassles of acquiring visas, covid tests, and whatever hoops they made me jump through were well worth it. I always love the futuristic cyberpunk views of Taipei and the contrasting lush jungle scenery of Taiwan’s rural regions. Taiwan still remains one of my favorite countries I’ve ever visited.
