MIXES + MENTORS mixtape series

I just started a new series of house mixes. Mixes set to speeches. The concept is nothing new.

Voltaire said, “Almost everything is imitation.” There is nothing new under the sun.

#MIXES + MENTORS MIXTAPES

A series of spaced out house mixtapes for dancing, grooving, or just tripping out, set to the wise words and philosophical wax-ings of spiritual mentors, including the likes of:

  • Earl Nightingale

  • Abraham Hicks

  • Alan Watts

  • Eckhart Tolle

  • Carl Sagan

Mix #1. Nightingale’s Work

Set to the voiceover of the “Duke of Self Development,” Earl Nightingale. His 1956 masterpiece, “The Strangest Secret,” a book and spoken word record (one of the first audiobooks?), has influenced and inspired myriads of people to begin their self-development and entrepreneurial journey. It contains some of the greatest gems for quotable phrases, such as “Success is the progressive realization of a worthy goal or ideal,” and “You are what you think about.”  Take notes.

Mix #2. The Hicks Mix

The second in the Mixes + Mentors series features background vocals by Abraham Hicks, the stage name for Esther Hicks, an inspirational speaker and spiritual advisor to many. She has become renowned and synonymous with the concept of the “Law of Attraction,” which gained massive media attention after the release of the documentary-style feature film “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. Abraham’s messaging and speaking style are always optimistic and supportive in nature, confiding listeners with the power of positive thinking.
